Professional Development
Seaman provides many opportunities for teachers to participate in Professional Development during the duty day, days during the school year, before and after school activities and offers summer technology and curriculum sessions that focuses on technology integration and the use of technology tools the district supports. Baker credit is available on some courses.

MyLearningPlan

MyLearningPlan is the online professional development program that we use to enroll in activities, manage your points, create re-licensure transcript, set professional goals and take Knowledge activity points to Application and Impact levels. The following guide will assist you with getting started with MyLearningPlan.




The PDC Chairs will provide additional information during your two-day orientation. Your mentor should be able to provide additional support.

Activity 1:

Log into MyLearning Plan to enroll in Activities:
1. enroll in June New Teacher Technology Orientation activity
2. access upcoming professional development activities and enroll
3. edit your user account password and update your profile

Seaman wikis have been developed for newly hired teachers. These wikis include:
  1. Seaman USD 345 New Teacher Wiki -- this wiki provides resources as you begin your career at Seaman.

Summer Professional Development Activities

Each summer technology and curriculum learning opportunities are available. Several sessions are usually offered for graduate credit from Baker University. Information goes out district-wide after Spring Break, with pre-enrollment closing in late April.
